2.2 Implementation of the Strategic Action Plan for Rehabilitation and Protection of the Black Sea 2002- 2007 (Report by the Permanent Secretariat)

Dr. Violeta Velikova, Pollution Monitoring and Assessment Officer at the Permanent Secretariat of the Commission on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution shall present the Report on the Implementation of the Strategic Action Plan for the Rehabilitation and Protection of the Black Sea 2002- 2007

3.1 Information from the Depository of the Convention on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution on the procedure of Convention amendment, LBSA (Protocol on Pollution Control from Land-Based Sources and Activities), Agreement on the Privileges and Immunities of the Commission on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution.

 

The Depository shall present information on the procedure of Convention amendment, LBSA (Protocol on Pollution Control from Land-Based Sources and Activities), Agreement on the Privileges and Immunities of the Commission on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution.

3.2 Exchange of views of the Contracting Parties on the adoption of amendments to the Convention on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution and decision on the adoption.

The Contracting Parties shall state their position on the adoption of the amendments to the Convention on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution - statements from the Republic of Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and Ukraine.

The Executive Secretary of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR), Mr. Philip Weller, shall present the cooperation and collaboration between the ICPDR and the Commission on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution and outline the future cooperation strategies for the next 5 - 10 years between the two Commissions.

The Executive Secretary of the Agreement on the Conservation of Cetaceans in the Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea and contiguous Atlantic area (ACCOBAMS), Ms. Marie Grillo-Compulsione, shall present the cooperation and collaboration between ACCOBAMS and the Commission on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution and outline the future strategies for cooperation in the next 5 - 10 years.
